Festival Style: The Glitter Parting

With festival season almost here, it's time to get planning which band you'll watch, and of course outfits and hairstyles. I'm at Glastonbury this year and can't wait! I don't tend to go all out, as I'm usually camping it's not practical to lug a dressing-up box down there with a variety of outfits. However, this year we are doing things differently, staying local and going in and out of the festival. Bit of a cop out you say? Sure, but I really have a thing about manners and rude people and not camping means I don't want to scream at people to say thank you or excuse me. Anyway, I digress...
The glitter parting was all over the catwalks last year and I must admit, it's such an easy style update. Also covers any root regrowth you may have going on. Win, win.
I think glitter eye gel works really well for this look, or you can make your own glittery gel. Grab some cheap hair gel, and chuck in whatever colour glitter you have, or even try out using glitter shapes. Possibilities are endless. This look best works on hair that is sleek and smooth.
Use an old make up brush to dab the mixture along a sharp parting and that's it! Simple. If you want to add a little something else, why not create a zig zag parting, kind of reminds me of lightning strikes. Super cool.
Just don't worry yourself about finding glitter on your person for months to come.
We all need a little sparkle in our day-to-day. Go get some disco nits!

  1. Youre so right it seems to be everywhere i remember that picture of the glitter roots that even miley cyrus shared!
