The Red Lion, Milton Bryan

Taking a stroll (well seven mile walk!) when my sister came to stay recently, we decided to stop at The Red Lion in Milton Bryan. A gorgeous little pub, that has a great menu using local produce & Aspalls Cider on tap.
Sold to the West Country girl in the corner!
After walking from my house to the pub, we were a bit peckish, so ordered up a couple of the sandwiches. I went for the Posh Fish Finger Ciabatta, whilst Crystal had Pulled Pork and Apple Ciabatta. Each came with crispy salted potato skins, but we opted for a bowl of Bacon and Cheese Chips to accompany our meal. The tartare sauce that came in my sandwich was UH-MAZING. And the dressing on the salad was lovely.
Cute little touches such as pot plants on the picnic benches in the garden and the menus on clipboards add a certain feel to the place. And the setting is lovely, opposite there is a cottage that sells homemade chutney and jams - along with flowers. Delightful! (does have a slight Midsomer Murders feel about it though)
Now planning to pop along for a Sunday Roast, or maybe an evening meal. Or both. And a bottle of wine, or a gin...
