Red Carpet: Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2014

I love the fact Glamour Magazine celebrate all things women and give out awards to inspiring females (and a couple of males) of the film, music and journalism industries. It also gives me a chance to swoon over some fabulous hair do's. Sadly this Glamour Awards didn't quite satisfy my hair geeking needs. It was for want of a better word, a bit boring, and a bit lacking in glamour.
First up, Little Mix. I think the Little Mix ladies are gorgeous and don't mind admitting to have a little dance around to most of their tunes. I just found the straight, slicked stylings a bit too grown up. And the make up a bit too severe given the structured styling outfit wise.
I'm all for a textured up do, or something that looks a little undone, but it has to be done well. Davina McCall, I love you, really I do but I didn't love the hair. Even my usual red carpet favourite Fearne looked a little frizzy, I do like the side parting but overall a little too messy.
Special mention goes to Amanda Holden (Christian Vermaak is a super stylist - she's been looking great lately) Alesha Dixon (Entaaarrrr) Jenna Coleman and Hayley Atwell who all looked great. Totally aware that the three styles below are similar, but I think soft waves and curls are always a red carpet winner.
What do you think? Am I being too harsh? Who were your favourites?
