Devon, Dogs and Delicious Dinners

Many of you lovely lot know I have family who live in the West Country, scattered about between Devon and Bristol. This weekend, Tom and I jumped in the car and traveled down to my dad's place in East Devon to stay for a couple of days.

Arriving early on Friday, we soon settled in with cups of tea and cuddles with a large puppy. Millie is a Great Dane and is getting pretty damn big - those ears! She is lovely, if very mischievous. I've grown up with dogs and Dad had two Great Dane's when he lived in Bedfordshire so is totally used to how to deal with the large, soft beautiful creatures. It was lovely to be able to go to the beach, and we visited Lyme Regis and Burton Bradstock - both gorgeous and the sun was shining making it a fresh, crisp walk. Perfect. Even if Millie did take me out on the beach - I went down like a sack of spuds!
We went out to eat at the Hare & Hounds on Friday evening, it's worth booking as it gets busy, but totally worth going as the do the best carvery I've ever had. Think it was a good idea we went for a stroll on the beach Saturday to burn off all that food! Saturday evening it was back in the car to zoom up to Crystal's and get ready for Mum's birthday meal on Sunday. It's just been a weekend of eating! Brilliant!
So this post is coming from a very tired Kelly. I went to London to get my hair sorted yesterday, and you'll be hearing all about this tomorrow. Plus a review of a very exciting hair styler, a tutorial and some news about products you'll definitely want to try.

  1. Look at that beach! Gorgeous. The sky is so blue!
I can't believe how big Millie's got. She looks like butter wouldn't melt and not a naughty girl at all! xxx

    1. It was wonderful, we were so lucky with the weather! :) Millie is very good at pretending to be the perfect pup - then eats a loaf of bread, directly from the breadbin.
