Review: Batiste Oriental

Unless you live under a greasy-nightmare-hair rock you'll be fully aware of the brand that is Batiste. They never seem to stop with developing new fragrances and tins of loveliness for us to use in the battle of bad hair. One of the latest creations is Batiste Oriental*
Described as pretty and opulent the fragrance is quite floral without being overpowering. With notes of Apple, Jasmine and Coconut it's light and fresh and the scent does stay with your hair all day - which to me is a definite plus. The packaging is really gorgeous and I love how it'd look lovely on your dressing table due to the oriental style design.
I tend to use dry shampoo to add texture to my hair and for a bit of added volume if my curls and waves drop. It's great for a bit of added grit to hair - meaning grips stay put, you can backcomb slightly for big beehives and it's also pretty good for that last-minute-rush-out-the-door-hair panic.
This is definitely a style staple for me and I always have a tin of Batiste in my kit bag. At £2.99 for 200ml it really is a must for banishing bad hair days! Grab your can from most supermarkets, chemists, or go online and take a look at the whole range - Cherry is still my absolute favourite though.

  1. Lovely packaging. I stick to the brunette one (that's if they still make it, I stocked up when Boots were doing it for 50p) as anything else makes my roots look like I've had a bonfire in them! x
