Boardmasters 2013 - Sun, Sea and Cider

I'm back! I spent the weekend at Newquay enjoying the delights of Boardmasters, a surf and music festival. Having not been to a festival for a little while I couldn't wait to get back to basics with a cider in one hand and the other up in the air, singing along to some great live music. Boardmasters didn't disappoint.

We managed to squeeze in quite a bit of band watching, and I got to see The Skints, a band I've been a fan of for a while, and love even more now I've caught them live. Amazing. Other highlights included, The Vaccines, Miles Kane, The Joy Formidable, We Are The Ocean, Basement Jaxx and Grandmaster Flash to name but a few. It had such a great vibe and was very relaxed - toilets were kept clean and tidy and there were enough bars and food stalls to keep us festival goers fed and watered.
I haven't laughed so much in ages, and have lost my voice from singing aloud all weekend.
Definitely one for the festival calendar next year.

  1. You look in your element, you definitely need to do loads more festivals in 2014! Fantastic pictures. I love a beach-based festival, the Big Chill did one in Goa 7 years ago and it was phenomenal! No wellies! xxx

  2. ooo looks so much fun :) I've never been, but it seems such a cool chilled festival. Looking fab in the photos xx

  3. Wow, Just like a fantasy world. Hey what is the Boardmaster’s music genary? Is it party music?

  4. Wow, Looks like a hot summer party time. Let’s have a fun!!! Cheers.
