Nioxin & Thinning Hair Awareness Week

I have suffered from thinning hair in the past - my fault completely, too much hair dye, too often. It can be difficult to hide and definitely affects confidence. Thinning hair can be caused by the processes we put our hair through, illness or dietary deficiencies, but slowly brands are beginning to realise we need to do more to bring products that can help thinning hair into the mainstream haircare market.
Thinning Hair Awareness Week (18th February) is a chance to raise awareness of hair thinning, as well as the consequences and measures that can be taken to combat the issue. Nioxin are sponsoring Thinning Hair Awareness Week and hope to further educate and help men and women across the UK and Ireland.
I was lucky enough to hear from Keith Hobbs, Clinical Director at the Institutes of Trichologists (who I could have listened to all day! Interesting guy) at the launch, and it's great to hear someone who is an expert in this field talk about how excited he is over Nioxin sponsoring Thinning Hair Awareness Week, and the Institute of Trichologists partnering the week. To support Thinning Hair Awareness Week you can visit your nearest participating Nioxin Salon (check out the salon locator here) and find out more from a Nioxin educator.
The Nioxin range focuses on giving users thicker and fuller looking hair through the use of a 3 point system, with six different ingredients, specifically for different hair types. The 3 part system consists of a Cleanser, Scalp Revitiliser, and Scalp Treatmen. It isn't going to make your hair grow, but can help to achieve thicker, fuller-looking hair.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, ambassador for Nioxin, feels connected to the brand having gone through hair thinning whilst pregnant (very common!)
"I've been using Nioxin for a while now and have really felt the difference in my hair. It feels stronger and thicker and I've noticed how shiny it has become"
As you all know I'm currently wearing extensions, but these are coming out this week, and I'm going to start using the system I got to give a fair review of the products. Once I've given them a go, I'll let you know if Nioxin can help you if you suffer from thinning hair. It's looking good so far!
