Event: Tara Smith Masterclass

Date: 3rd December
Place: Crimson Bar @ Soho Hotel
Purpose: To find out more about the Tara Smith range, and get some hair style tips

Tara Smith is a lady dedicated to giving us and her celebrity clients, such as Rosaria Dawson and Anna Friel, the best in haircare - from advice to the products to use. Voted 'Celebrity Hairdresser of the Year' in 2009, and with work featured in Elle and Vogue you know if you get an invite to go and hear more about her Vegan haircare range and learn some styling tips, you'll be down there quicker than you can say tofu.
We were taken through the range, which consists of four shampoo and conditioner types to cover whatever your hair type, along with some styling products. There are also some Tool Kits (£12.50) which contain the Base Coat Serum (£14.00) - full review coming soon on this! Along with a shampoo and conditioner designed especially for particular hair types.
Tara then showed how you could get some easy styles, and even disguise roots by using the very impressive Shining Moment Glosser (£12.00)
What I absolutely love about the range is the fact it's good for animals, and good for your hair. Tara has purposely made sure ingredients used are natural, non-toxic and free of chemicals. It's great to see a range actively campaign against cruelty to animals, and have a commitment to Vegan ethical standards. As Tara says, Be Kind. Be Beautiful. Be Healthy.
Tara is very down-to-earth and friendly, with a great sense of humour when it comes to hair, it makes you feel you are talking to your friend about the best styles to wear, and products to use. I was lucky enough to get a quick consultation with Tara, who told me my ends weren't in as bad condition as I'd feared (hooray!) and she recommended using Feed the Root. She also advised taking Sea Kelp tablets to help with growth, so I'm going to give those a go. I actually reviewed the Feed the Root shampoo and conditioner a while back, when the packaging was a little different, have a read by clicking the link. The revamped packaging is FANTASTIC. I adore the exotic birds used, and the fact the shampoo has the head of the bird, and the conditioner the body. Don't know about you, but I am forever picking up the wrong bottle in the shower!
You can pick up the range exclusively from M&S.
