2012: Hair Heroes & Villians

Goodbye 2012! Hello 2013!
Thought a little round up of my hair heroes and villains was in order. There has been so much great celebrity hair (I should know, I've been envious of most!) but as always some has been shocking. Take a bow those who made the cut, and buy a hat those who seemingly have avoided a mirror on the way out...

Best Hair Colour
Kelly Osbourne and the beautiful lavender hue she has. She has tried most of the colours in the rainbow, but the soft pastel colouring looks great against her skintone and perfect with her style. It looks great worn in loose waves, but just as good when pushed up into a top knot.

Worst Hair Colour
Oh Lindsay. Why mess with your beautiful natural Auburn hair. The brash, harsh blonde washed Lindsay out and dare I say it, looked cheap. Hopefully just a phases and never to be seen again, definitely time to ditch the bleach bottle.

Shock Cut of the Year
Going from long to short in a few hacks of the scissors, Anne Hathaway showed she was willing to go to extreme lengths (or lack of them) for her part in Les Miserables. And she is showing that growing out short hair doesn't have to be hassle.
Les Miserables will be the first film I see in 2013, and to say I'm excited is an understatement!

What does your real hair look like?
This was a tough decision between two ladies. Unfortunately Lady Gaga has been pipped to the post by Nicki Minaj. I want to see what her real hair looks like. I know the wigs and hairpieces are part of the 'character' but I just can't imagine her with normal hair. Which makes me think she may well be bald as a coot under all that rainbow mane.

Hair of 2012!
Think it's pretty obvious I'm totally in love with this lady and her hair. Step forward Kimberley Walsh, of Girls Aloud. Whether it's up or down, I love it. The honey, blonde tones look natural and blend really well, and the mid length is a refreshing change in celeb hair land.
The era inspired up do she wore looked perfect and the tousled waves were casual style perfection.
Anyone I've missed? Who was your crowning glory of 2012?
And I just wanted to wish all readers a fantastic New Year. Thank you so much for reading Hair Advice, it means the world to me that there are people from around the world (mind blowing!) who want to read my rambles about hair (and dogs!)
I pledge to give you more to read, more tutorials and more hair geekiness in 2013.
