Take a look: L'Oreal Wild Ombre Dip Dye Kit

I recently coloured my hair using Garnier Olia, it helped give my hair a shine boost, and a deeper overall brown colour. However, I wasn't finished. I'd spotted the Preference Wild Ombre Kit from L'Oreal Paris in Superdrug and decided to give it a go. I'd dabbled with ombre a while back, but liked the softer look L'Oreal promised.
There are three different kits available, all for different hair colours. You have light brown to dark brown, dark blonde to medium brown, and blonde to dark blonde. I went for kit 2, dark blonde to medium brown. If you wanted a lighter, more noticeable result I'd go for kit 1, light brown to dark brown.
The brush provided helps you colour sections you want without leaving a harsher line that can be caused when you apply bleach by hand. As the brush combs through the hair it helps soften the overall finish.
Mixing the product is simple, you add the powder to the developer creme, then add the lightening creme to the mix. Shake thoroughly and apply.
I left the dye on for 25 minutes, my hair takes quite quickly to any type of colourant, and I didn't want a strong look. If you wanted a whiter blonde, I'd recommend leaving for the maximum time (45mins)
I love that they've given examples of how to colour on the information included, with different lengths of hair. The way in which you can use the brush to create different looks is also really helpful, as are the large, black gloves that fit properly (as opposed to the usual slapping-yourself-in-the-face-whilst-trying-to-pull-them-on type)
I'm incredibly happy with the ombre look I've got, and have found my hair to be in no worse a condition afterwards. It's a really soft and subtle finish, and I'd definitely use the kit again.
Price: £5.99

  1. It looks great! I've got one of these too but worried to try it in case it goes ginger on my jet black hair - eek xx

  2. I really want to try this kit, my hair is currently at a bit of a random stage (post coming soon) and I am inadvertently growing out my colour so ending up with lighter ends. Might try this at some point - good to see how it works :) xx
