Mid Length Magic...

For years the world of celebrity and red carpets has been dominated by Rapunzel style locks. Tumbling curls and flowing sheets of hair would make us girls who find growing hair hard, more than a little envious. However, I've started to spot a change in length, some ladies in the spotlight are embracing what nature gave them and we are seeing some gorgeous mid length styles.
First up with have Kimberley Walsh, one part of Girls Aloud, and a whole lotta lovely hair. I am obsessed with her hair at the moment, it's a great length for her face shape and I love how she wears it with a bit of texture and movement. Gorgeous.

En-tttteeerrrrrr Alesha Dixon (just me that still does that whenever they see or hear Alesha Dixon? Probably wise I haven't met her) Known for her long hair, and dramatic styles, I was surprised when I spotted Alesha's hair brushing her shoulders. It looks thick and full of life, and again suits her heart shaped face.

I think both these styles suit so well is because they look natural, whilst still having a glamorous edge. This length really helps those who suffer with fine hair to be able to build body, whilst maintaining a long enough style to be able to put up if you wanted.

Who would it suit? This is a very versatile style and would suit most face shapes. Particularly oval and heart shape. It's great for ladies with a long face shape to give the illusion of a slightly fuller face.
Top tip! Heated rollers and velcro rollers are great for a volume boost on mid length styles. Use larger rollers around the crown and leave until you are just about to go out. Take them out, brush through and spray to hold.

  3. I love it when celebs don't rely on feet of fake hair to look good. Both these ladies look so good, and it's a great inspiration to use mere mortals who don't have the time, money and expertise to stick on extra hair!

  4. I've never been able to grow my hair beyond just below my shoulders so it's great to see shorter styles on trend right now. Kimberley is just stunning at the mo. Hair is just perfect for her. Wish mine looked like that!
