The Break-Over

Ah the break-over.
It marks the end of a relationship and the need to get that all important boost of self confidence.
You want to feel 'new'
I know I have. After a particularly awful break up, I headed to my nearest Toni & Guy and muttered the immortal words. "I fancy something different" A LOT of snipping and feathering later and I had a cross between Liam Gallagher and a cockatoo. My friends cooed at my new style, I bought a can of spray wax to perfect the parting spike I'd acquired. Needless to say when I next saw my ex, I don't think he was thinking he'd made a mistake finishing with this mulleted exotic bird. And no you won't be seeing pictures, oh ok maybe one.
Celebrity break ups are always going to be tough, imagine seeing your other half splashed over the front page with a gorgeous new style and carefree smile. Bit of a kick in the nuts isn't it. I can imagine Ryan Phillipe may have had second thoughts when he saw Reese Witherspoon looking incredible with a sweeping side fringe and shattered layers after they'd split. Anne Hathaway not only lost Raffaello Follieri but also inches from her hair to showcase a gorgeously sexy long bob.
I'm not saying get a new style and get back with the ex, but get a new style and get back AT the ex. Petty, maybe, but if it gives you a boost in confidence then why not. Think carefully about the style you want, and it's great if you want to be brave, but don't be rash...otherwise you may get the swaggering cockatoo.
Have you ever gone for the chop to get over heartbreak?
(don't forget to enter my giveaway, it's a good 'un!)

  4. I cannot believe Tony & Guy did that to you. That's lesbian 90's hair! Luckily you don't have to spike it up and you'll look as gorgeous as ever <3
