Launch: The Lee Stafford Training Academy

Top stylist and all round nice guy Lee Stafford recently opened the doors to a brand new training academy in Chelmsford. The Lee Stafford Academy (part of Chelmsford College) opened its doors on June 10th, with 38 students enrolled on courses within the hairdressing facility. Lee and Chelmsford College are hoping student intake rise to 200 students in time, giving youngsters training and educational support for a future career in hair & beauty. Students will be studying towards their level 2 & 3 City of Guilds in Hairdressing, and with 46 training stations, alongside 24 commercial stations, it's a great opportunity for those training to get an idea of commercial services and treatments and how a typical salon runs.

I love the look of the academy. Modern with amazing work stations and basins, I'd be more than happy to pop along and get my hair done by someone who was training.
Lee has been able to realise a life-long dream to help educate and inspire younger generations of hairdressers, thanks to the help of education consultancy Tenon Education Training and Skills and Chelmsford College.
"When I first got into hairdressing I would attend as many seminars as I possibly could and I was always the guy down the front asking 1000 questions. I am passionate about the hairdressing industry and want to communicate what a great career it can be - the creativity, the diversity, the opportunities - but I also want to help to raise the profile of, and standardize, the profession and make hairdressing an industry of which Britain can be proud"
How amazing is the picture behind Lee & the gang - I want!
It's great to see a celebrity hairdresser give back, and encourage others. Lee has a big following in the hairdressing business, mainly down to the fact he's willing to give people advice when asked and is incredibly passionate about his trade.
What do you think about Lee opening up a training academy? Doesn't it look amazing?
Thanks to nbpr for the pictures, and info.
