Horses and Hair...

I spent the day at the races on Sunday, and would like to say I was quaffing champers and nibbling strawberries. The reality however was a burger and cider, you can take the girl out of the West country...
Hair wise, watching the forecast I knew we weren't in for a day of sun, so decided to wear my hair up. Using Neal and Wolf ELEVATE Volumising Lotion on damp hair before styling helped give my hair a bit of bounce meaning it stayed looking like it had a bit of oomph to it throughout the day and night. Such a gorgeous smelling product and I love the packaging design with the pop up cap, full review to follow on this. I curled my hair loosely then randomly pinned to one side leaving the front to frame my face.
What do you think of my race day hair?
I wore an old Dorothy Perkins gold top, along with my new Zara skirt (which will be returned thanks to the unbelievable shedding of beads on it's first outing) Finished with my Miss Selfridge blazer and H&M Flatforms. Tights were added as the day went on as it was pretty chilly out on the course.
(my attempts at an outfit shot - a fashion blogger I maketh not)
We had such a lovely day, finished with a stay in The Bedford Lodge Hotel which was gorgeous. Andy won a little money so we came away slightly jaded but with the day paid for thanks to a few fine filly's. :)
Have you ever been to the races?

  2. I love your hair, it's beautiful and that skirt's gorgeous, what a shame about the beads!
I've only worked at the races, never been lucky enough to dress up and enjoy them. x
