Recreated: Catwalk Cobweb

When I saw this image from the Maria Bonita catwalk I was fascinated. Using simple elastic ties to create a combweb effect, it looks so detailed but is surprisingly simple to recreate.
  1. Tie a thin ponytail by the ear on each side of the head
  2. Take the remainder of the hair and section into 4 low ponytails at the nape of the neck, securing each with a small elastic band (you can pick these up from Primark)
  3. Then split each of the 4 in half, and mix the halves up. Take a half from the first ponytail and add a half from the second ponytail. Secure again with the elastic bands.
  4. You should see a pattern emerging as you continue down the hair. Smooth any layers and flyaways with some serum to get a more defined look.
Obviously it helps having long hair to achieve this look, but you can give yourself the web look taking sections from shorter hair to create a basket weave on top of the rest of the hair. I tried it out on Crystal's hair when she came to stay this weekend. What do you think? Quite a cool look for Summer...
