Review: Oh Cherry Baby...

Batiste have well and truly conquered the dry shampoo market, from different shades that match your hair, to boosting your volume, no greasy stone has been left unturned...
However, the fragrance has always stayed the same, generally a fresh, clean smell that's not offensive, nor anything special. So ready those nostrils for the sweet smell of success with the new cherry scented Batiste.
Does it do what it promises?
Batiste Dry Shampoo banishes oily roots, giving dull, lifeless hair the makeover it needs without any water. A quick burst revitalises hair, adds body and texture and leaves it feeling clean and fresh too. No need to worry about skipping a shampoo.
I like to use dry shampoo for two reasons, the first is it's main purpose, the lazy day wash and go. Using dry shampoo gives my hair a break from washing and styling, and let's face it, anything to get an extra five minutes in the duvet. The second is for texture and volume, which it is great for, if you find your hair falling flat a quick blast will revive hair instantly. Perfect for a boost during the day.

Would I get it again?
I LOVE it, generally obsessed with anything cherry (sweets, juice...uh, did I mention sweets!) the packaging alone had me sold. The Cath Kidston style print is eye-catching, and the smell, well, it does really smell of cherries.
Anything else?
If you have very dark hair then you may find the powdery white look reminiscent of previous versions of Batiste, so I'd advise using the colour version - unfortunately this won't smell of cherries, but who knows, Batiste may bring out the colour versions with cherry scent. Blondes and light browns can spray away!

Price: £2.99 for 200ml
Available: Lots of places, supermarkets, Boots, Superdrug, my beauty cupboard.

  2. Love Batiste, a festival staple. I used to love their tropical scent when I was a blonde but it's a no-no with black hair. x
