Back in time with GHD & Katy Perry...

GHD couldn't have chosen a better ambassador for their brand. Katy Perry looks amazing in the latest campaign to advertise the new Scarlet styler.
Inspired by the art deco & 1920's influences that were all over the A/W11 catwalks GHD have given us some beautifully shot images (thanks to David La Chapelle) of Katy looking like a screen siren of times gone by. The styling is gorgeous, from the fun flapper dress, to the decadent evening gown - I think she looks like an evil disney character!
I think this totally surpasses the last campaign and I can't wait to see what they come up with next. I love how the shots aren't totally focused on the product, the Red clutch you can see in the background in the flapper shot, and on the table in the bedroom shot is the actual GHD Scarlet Deluxe edition set. Straighteners have never been so stylish! And I love the tagline for the Scarlet...
Get dolled up and create some whoopee. And grab Scarlet before you go. In Scarlet’s world, everyday’s a party, so turn up the jazz, kick off your heels and get ready to relive the roaring 20s. Get a wiggle on though, Scarlet’s a flighty little flapper and she won’t be around for long. "Can't repeat the past?... Why of course you can!" Jay Gatsby, The Great Gatsby – F. Scott Fitzgerald

What do you think of the latest photos? Has Katy got the razzle dazzle?

  4. I have to admit I am not a fan of KP I do feel her looks are very overrated I think there are far more gorgeous women in the world and I am not really keen on her music. I have to say though she looks fab in the photos. xx
