Review: OSMO Guilty Pleasures

"Manipulate and corrupt your head"

OSMO have launched products that promise to get your hair to stay put. The Extreme Xfirm Glue Spray along with the Resin Extreme Glue mean business. They promise superior product performance and irresistible fragrance, and that "these dedicated style saviours won't leave a hair out of place" Good stuff then? Read on...
As I have long hair, I passed this onto my boyfriend Andy for his thoughts...
"The spray and glue used together mean your hair doesn't move, I used the products on towel dried hair and combed my hair into place. It's pliable to allow you to style, but then it locks that style in place.
The smell is great, one of the best I've used, and using the glue left my hair feeling soft but styled, the spray left my hair with a slight shell feel. My only negative really is that the price is pretty off putting"

Both are definitely higher end products, and as they are available in Salons the pricing is to be expected. It's a shame as I think they would do well in Boots and other big stores. The packaging is sleek and the applicators easy to use.
I found myself when using the glue for fingerwaving and precision styling it was great, easily brushed out, and it didn't leave any flaky residue.
The spray was great for holding up do's, however I wouldn't recommend using it on curls or waves. The fragrance is great, not too heavy and quite neutral not lending itself to gender.
I love OSMO products, the Power Dust is a great product for volumising, and the hairsprays have great holding power.

Have you tried any of the OSMO ranges? How much are you willing to pay for salon based products?

  2. I've tried the Osmo Deep Moisturising shampoo & conditioner from Sally's and I didn't get on with it at all...couldn't even get a comb through my hair! Was so disappointed as I loved the Colour Mission range and that was brilliant!

I'm quite happy using Aussie shampoos etc if I'm too skint to buy my normal shampoos & conditioners (Redken, PK or Tigi) which I get online for a bit cheaper than what salons charge! :)

    Great post!
