Review: Batiste - Hint of Colour

Batiste is the god father of dry shampoo, for the price, and result you really can't beat it. The only thing that's ever bothered me is the slightly grey tinge left after using it. It can tend to leave the hair looking slightly dull, unless you have Blonde or fair hair.
However, Batiste have given this some thought and brought out the Hint of Colour Range, consisting of three versions. Light, medium and dark shades to use not only as dry shampoo, but for root cover up. Giving us a helping hand to battle those bad hair days.
You use it exactly the same way you would the other Batiste ranges, spraying from around 30cm, massaging (or brushing) in and styling as you usually would. That's it. You are good to go.
I've been using the medium version (my hair has a bit of ombre going on) and can honestly say it's very blendable, doesn't stain scalp or skin and is light so doesn't weigh the hair down. I love the fragrance (fresh, not overly perfumed) and whilst colouring it still gives your hair a freshen up inbetween shampoos. Unless you have quite dark hair I'd avoid the dark range, medium sits very nicely between the light and dark for an "average" hair tone. I always love Batiste's packaging, and the colour range is no exception, different coloured cans make it easy to grab the right colour, and I found although the nozzle was left with some colour residue, it didn't clog.

Do you think you'll be giving the hint of colour range a go? Are you a light, medium or dark?
They even have a handy page on their site to let you know where to buy from.
Already tried it? What did you think?

  1. Ohhh useful!! I'll try and track some down once I've used up all my mini cans that are dotted around the house at the moment - can't remember the last time I bought some so I don't know why I've got so many!

  2. You see they had fairly recently brought out one for brunettes and one for black hair- I was buying the one for black hair but then I couldn't seem to find it anywhere, so I wonder if they discontinued it to bring out this range instead. Can't wait to go and get some of this, dry shampoo is my saviour!

  8. We LOVE the brunette version! The only problem is when we're nearing the end of the bottle, it reverts to being white again :(
