Hair do's for Christmas do's...

It's no surprise the top knot is big news this Christmas, it's a low maintenance style with plenty of glamour and really shows off your Christmas make up and party outfit.

I've shown you how to in pictures, and I've also done a video on it. But here's a little trick to help supersize that bun. We are pimping the donut ring for some added oomph. By adding a pair of tights stuffed with either cotton wool, or something soft, around the bun ring you'll add a larger area giving you a bigger bun.

Simply cut the tights to fit round the bun ring, then stuff with cotton wool, the more cotton wool the large the circumference of the bun will be. So it's up to you how large you want to go. Add a glitzy clip and you have a show stopping do that suits many a face shape.
I would have done a few pictures with it in, but if you follow me on twitter you'll know I've been feeling really poorly. Think I've picked up a bug that's doing the rounds. I'm hitting it with all the beechams and oj I can. I have no time to be ill. I will not be beaten. :)
So do you think you could give the big bun a go?
Or is Christmas about relaxing with a drink rather than dressing up for you?

  1. I love my bun ring! That's a great idea to make it even bigger using a pair of tights - ingenous. I'd definitely give the big bun a go, I have really long hair and never usually do anything with it so feel like I should be more adventurous this Christmas. x
