Monday mooch...

I'm really busy with work/accessory making and home stuff so haven't had time to research my blog ideas. No fear though, I am dedicating Wednesday eve to catch up! :)

In the meantime however to keep my lovely followers happy here's a little snippet of my life at the moment...

Getting more creative! Silver Peacock the website is branching out! I'm currently in the process of making some cute earrings. I've also been lucky enough to be asked to create some hair accessories for a friend's wedding in October. How exciting!

Seeing family - I went back to the west country this weekend as it was my mum's 50th. Had a lovely meal with them all and got to have a good catch up. Miss them loads. Below is a pic of me and my sister (who's hair by the way has grown over an inch already from the haircut drama)

Risotto!! I'm obsessed! Andy cooked it last week, and when we went for mum's meal out I zoned straight in on the asparagus and Parmesan risotto.

Weather - probably in my outs a lot lately. Make your flipping mind up will you! Rain, sun, snow, wind...pick one (preferably SUN!) It's such an inbetween stage for the weather and you don't know whether to wear wellies or wedges.

Money - Or lack of it! I want to buy some new ceramic jumbo tongs (for my clients hair...oh ok and mine!) but the water bill comes first! Anyone got any recommendations for the tongs?

Hair - On the growth update. It's grown a teensy bit, I'm doing all I can to entice it. I'll keep trying, I'm due a trim soon and I get so nervous as a trim to me might be a inch to the hairdresser! It's such a pain being able to do others hair and not your own - although I suppose if we could all do our own I'd be out of a job!

I hope you've all had lovely weekends...

  1. What a lovely photo of you and your sister! Loving the black and white photography and the "coming soon" section.
Loving the sound of the adventures in earring making.
When I was a kid (back in the dark ages) Mum used to make me take kelp tablets as this was supposed to make hair and nails grow.

  2. Gorgeous picture, and I cant wait to see your new creations.

  3. I'm looking forward to all those new posts in Coming Soon! Exciting times Kel, exciting times.

Don't even talk to me about the weather. *grumble*

  4. you know i recently heard that using sulfate-free shampoo helps with hair growth...or at least it makes your hair thicker! any little bit helps, right? ;-)
